First Post

It took me a really long time to figure out what to name this blog. I've wanted to start a blog for some time now, but I could never settle on a topic. The whole thought of organizing a blog and making it coherent and worth reading was a little intimidating. A note:  I'm an incredibly organized person. I can waste hours reorganizing files, photos, notes, or worse...whole rooms. So, it took me a while to organize my thoughts about what I wanted my blog to be -- both to me and to my (prospective) readers.

I always thought the online diary was a little outdone. And to be honest, my life isn't really that interesting that you want to hear about my day to day activities. In fact, my life is currently in transition. I'm done with college and looking for a career, which means I'll have lots of time to create really interesting posts :)

So, back to my thought process about this blog. In the spirit of moving into a new phase of my life, I've decided to use this blog to further my interests in fashion and design. It will probably be peppered with some personal anecdotes and stories of my failed attempts at cooking. Fall, with it's feeling of new beginnings, seemed like the perfect time to start blogging.

Oh, the title. I guess I should explain that too. I'm hoping that this title will remind me that life is messy, and that's ok. Sometimes, the messiness presents the best opportunities.
