.etsy finds, valentine's day style
So, Pinterest is still the love of my life, but I can waste a fair amount of time on Etsy.
A guy doesn't even have to get me jewelry on Valentine's Day -- I'd totally settle for this jewelry tree.
P.S. I once asked a guy for "something shiny" on Valentine's Day. He got me a silver toy car. A Hummer.
I. Can't. Make. This. Shit. Up.
P.P.S. Kat...(she witnessed that Valentine's day tragedy)....I hope you're laughing right now.

why is it still winter
Yes, these are S/S 2011 looks from Stylein, but I am SO bored with winter clothes that I'm hoping to draw some inspiration from S/S looks to get me through the next few months. This New York City weather isn't helping matters. I feel like I've been in boots, a parka, and an oversized scarf since December. Fashionable, no?
Back to these looks. If you didn't know.. black, tapered trousers and I are quietly having a thing. It's getting rather serious.
Off to search for a perfect pair...

sites i'm currently loving
Over my prolonged absence from the Internets, I've been quietly stockpiling cool sites to share with you. Here are a few to tide you over.
1. http://myspoonful.com/
Indie music of the day, plus a free download. What's not to love?
2. http://www.houzz.com/
An orgy of home design inspiration. Seriously.
3. http://www.nowness.com
An online, luxury magazine by LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey). I may be a bit behind the times on this one, since it did launch a while ago, but it makes me feel uber cultured and fashionable when I read it. Try it. You'll see.
4. http://matchbookmag.com/
Their tagline is "Field Guide to a Charmed Life" ....I don't think I have to explain why I'm already a little obsessed.
a sneak peek
Did you miss me? I wish I had a better reason for my ridiculously long absence, but I don't. Life got busy. What can I say?
Lovely readers, thanks for your patience as I moved cities, started a job, and then got an apartment! It's been hectic and fun, and now I'll *hopefully* be able to devote more time to this blog moving forward. I know -- there are all those bloggers out there who can have babies or buy a house and blog about it as it happens. Apparently, I'm not one of them.
Obviously, a lot has happened since we last talked. Most importantly, I moved into a new apartment. I'm still waiting on a few pieces -- like my Parson's desk... sigh -- so I'll hold off showing you the room until it's finished. However, here's a sneak peak!
